Lisa Cooper, Church Secretary

Life Verse: Proverbs 3:5-6

Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.

Mrs. Lisa Cooper was raised in Burleson, Texas in a godly home by her parents Lawrence and Linda Brown. Her parents instilled a love for God in their children, and the family started attending Boulevard Baptist Church in 1986. While attending Boulevard Baptist Church, Lisa met and later married her husband, Pastor Paul Cooper. Bro. Cooper was called into full-time service in 1999 and graduated from Heartland Baptist Bible College in 2005.

While her husband attended bible college, Lisa began struggling with her salvation. She thought she accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Saviour when she was a teenager. However, on October 21, 2000, she ended her personal struggle and accepted Jesus as her Personal Saviour.

After graduating from HBBC, the Lord called the Coopers back to Boulevard Baptist Church.  Mrs. Lisa worked as a teacher in the Christian school for 10 years while her husband served as the associate pastor.  In June 2016, her husband became the pastor of Boulevard Baptist Church. Becoming a pastor’s wife and the church secretary has been a blessed and great ministry.  She is thankful every day that the Lord has given her a godly husband and three beautiful children, Daniel, age 21; Emily, age 17; and Noah, age 15.

Jack Dunaway, School Administrator

Jack’s spiritual growth began early in his adult life at the age of 19. He began attending church through an invitation from his future wife, Wendy. He was saved on April 20, 1991 while attending a youth rally and baptized a short time later at Hallmark Baptist Church. While attending Hallmark, they became involved in various children’s ministries, in particular Awanas and the children’s Sunday school program.

The Lord led the Dunaways to join Boulevard Baptist Church in July 2010. Soon after joining, Jack and Wendy became involved with and continue to be involved in various church ministries. They are Sunday school teachers for the Junior boys and Junior girls programs, serve as bus captains in the bus ministry, and lead our Wednesday night King’s Kids program for 4th-6th graders. In July 2017, Jack joined the church staff as the school administrator of Boulevard Baptist Christian School, overseeing the day-to-day operations as well as performing other necessary school and church duties.

Jack and Wendy were married June 18, 1993. They are parents of two beautiful daughters — Amanda and Ashley. Amanda is currently a junior at Heartland Baptist Bible College in Oklahoma City, and Ashley is a freshman at BBCS.

Heather Graves, Christian School Secretary

Life Verse:

I Corinthians 15:57-58

But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.

I was raised in church and made a profession of faith when I was 4 years old.  I began school at Boulevard Baptist in 1988.  After graduating High School from the Christian school, I returned to work as a teacher’s aide for a couple of years.  In 2007, I met my husband Michael here at Boulevard, and we were married in 2008.  We have two wonderful children, Lucas and Landon, that attend school here now.  In September of 2017, I was blessed with the opportunity to return to the school as the School Secretary.  I am truly thankful that the Lord has given me the opportunity to serve here with my children in the Christian school.  The Lord began working on my heart shortly after my boys were born, and I often questioned the profession I had made as a child, simply because I was so young.  So, on November 11, 2016, after wrestling with God about the issue for several years, in my home, on the phone with my Father-in-law (who is a Pastor), I truly gave my life over to the Lord.  What a blessing that God does not give up on His children!
